Second story water heater failure in Los Gatos, CA

Water heater failed on second story. Damaged the baseboard, carpet & pad, tack strip on stairs and first floor. Techs responded quickly and removed affected baseboard, carpet, padding under carpet, tack strips. They then set up four air movers (including one in garage facing affected ceiling), set up two dehumidifiers, floated carpet, drained water heater, swept debris on their first visit to job site. The next morning, the techs performed the moisture readings, drained the water heater, floated carpet, set up 3 air movers in hallway, and 1 Dehumidifier in entryway, set up 1 air mover and 1 Dehumidifier in garage, moved contents from hall closet to bedroom. The after photo shows the water damaged steps removed, and ready for our construction team to come in and re-frame the stairs and risers and re-carpet.
