More Water Than Fire Damage In Monte Sereno Pool And Spa Store Blaze

The fire caused burning ceiling tiles to fall around a demo hot tub model that was filled with water and running. Once the floor caught on fire, it then melted one side of the demo model, and the water rushed out onto the floor. This helped stop the fire from spreading on the floor but left a large amount of water to clean up.

We moved out the undamaged hot tub units and items on shelves in the damaged area for cleaning outside the store, so they were not affected by the moisture or soot during mitigation. We immediately extracted the excess moisture with portable pumps to lessen the drying time. The ceiling tiles received damage from the fire, and we removed the charred debris. Because of the fire in the electrical system, we used our own generators to power our equipment rather than delay restoration services until the property owner had the electrical panel repairs completed.
